Jack O’ Lantern – The Jack O’Lantern is a traditional Halloween symbol, and is connected to the ancient holiday of Samhain, the late-fall festival of the “lifting of the veil” between the living and the dead. (See Halloween.) The carving of the pumpkin into a face and lighting it with a candle within may indicate allowing your genuine nature to shine through your outward appearance. It may also be a sign of ripeness and fruition.
