Lifeguard – A lifeguard is a dream symbol of safety in a risky situation. Dreaming of a lifeguard saving you in a swimming pool, lake, or ocean indicates a feeling that you are not able to succeed or survive on your own, but need another person to come and save you. Perhaps you have struck out on a business venture or into a new relationship and now feel that you are in over your head and the situation is failing. On the other hand, dreaming that you are swimming successfully but that there is a lifeguard nearby is a symbol that help is available, but you do not currently need it. The danger with this mentality, of course, is that you may not try hard enough in your business venture, relationship, or other project if you know that someone will come and save you.
