A harpy is a creature from Greek mythology with wings – often depicted as a woman with wings (see picture). Harpies are known for snatching food. To dream of a harpy could indicate a desire to grow wings and fly. This could be in a more literal sense as in a desire to leave your current life situation. Or it could be in a more symbolic sense as in a creative endeavor, business, or project is about to “grow wings” and take off. Further, dreaming of a harpy could indicate a desire to take what isn’t yours – to snatch the sustenance that sustains another and keep it for yourself.
