To dream that you are locking something (such as door, bolt, padlock, etc…) suggests that there are aspects of yourself/your personality that you are attempting to keep hidden, protected, or “locked away.” This usually happens out of fear – fear of ridicule, being “found out,” looked down on, rejected, etc… Examine what you are locking and what (if anything) is inside what you are locking. This can provide insights as to the aspects of yourself that you are hiding, locking away, or are afraid of.
